Work has now started on a brand new hotel, located at Cornwall Services on the A30. The Holiday Inn Express will be the only one of its kind in Cornwall and will offer 71 bedrooms, plus a bar and breakfast area.
The hotel is being built adjacent to Cornwall Services, the only major service station on the A30 between Exeter and Penzance. The Services opened in summer 2014 and has proved to be a big hit with locals and tourists alike over the last 4 years. The hotel is phase 2 of the development and will cater to the needs of a wide range of leisure and business travellers.
The build will cost £6.5 million and the when it opens the hotel will employ 20 people. The build is estimated to take a year and the hotel will be open to the public in autumn 2019.
